Activity: Book Choice

This activity focuses on how you choose books to read. Knowing what you like to read helps you find just right books!

Once you are logged in, browse through the collection. Think about how you choose books to read. Look at the cover, read the title. Do you recognize the name of the author? If there is an illustrator, do you recognize the name of the illustrator? Read the description of the book. Does this sound interesting to you? Why does it interest you? Read the book.

Write a friendly letter to a community helper. There are many doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters, garbage collectors, mail carriers, and other workers helping our community during this difficult time.  Make a card to say THANK YOU for their help.
