Reading 104 Activity: 

I can identify the main topic of a multiparagraph text as well as the focus of specific paragraphs within the text.

  • Set timer for 10 minutes. Complete pages from your language arts packet sent home 3/13.

Activity: Book Choice

This activity focuses on how you choose books to read. Knowing what you like to read helps you find just right books!

Begin on the library website:

Open the Resources & Databases page. Click on:

  • Tumble Books
    • Username: waltdisney
    • Password: books

Click on the hyperlinked image.

Once you are logged in, browse through the collection. Think about how you choose books to read. Look at the cover, read the title. Do you recognize the name of the author? If there is an illustrator, do you recognize the name of the illustrator? Read the description of the book. Does this sound interesting to you? Why does it interest you? Read the book. 

What did you think of the book. Answer the questions about the book.
