Snowman Salute & More!

Next week will be a very busy one for the kids in room 104!  We will be wrapping up our learning units and celebrating the winter season before winter vacation begins. All first graders will participate in a fun day of learning titled: “Winter is Wonderful in Grade 1″.  Activities for this special day include winter themed books, math, crafts, songs, and more!

A reminder that there will be no classes Monday, December 26th – Friday, January 6th.  If your family is planning to travel this holiday season and your child will be missing school days please contact me as soon as possible to arrange for missed assignments.  Thank you!

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 24!  In preparation for this national holiday, we will be reading books about the first Thanksgiving celebration and completing other themed activities in our classroom.  I know this is a very busy travel weekend for many families; if your child will be missing any school days please contact me as soon as possible so that I may gather work to be sent home.

Due to the shortened school week, your child will not be bringing home a homework packet.  Families are asked to read together for twenty minutes each night.

There are no classes Wednesday, November 23 – Friday, November 25th.
